The Jagiellonian University is the oldest higher education institution in Poland, one of the oldest in Europe and also one of the best in Poland. Today, the Jagiellonian University comprises of 15 Faculties, where 4 thousand academic staff conduct research and provide education to almost 50 thousand students. A part of JU is the Faculty of History which can boast about the best studies of history, archeology and ethnology in whole Poland.
Very important advantage of the Jagiellonian University is its location in the historic city of Cracow, the former capital of Poland and a great cultural center, visited by millions of tourists every year. Some of the University buildings are major historical sites themselves.
