Prof. Andrew Wise
Andrew Kier Wise, Ph.D. is Professor of History and Director of the Center for Polish Studies at Daemen College (Amherst, NY). He teaches courses in World and European History. His publications on the history of Poland and Russia include monographs, book chapters and several articles in The Polish Review. His current projects deal with the Polish and Russian immigrant experience in the US through World War II, including a monograph on the radical political activism of Buffalo residents Boris and Anna Reinstein (in collaboration with Dr. Penny Messinger), as well as research on the activities of Dr. Francis E. Fronczak (Commissioner of Public Health for the City of Buffalo).
